- Gel Contact Time: The gel remains in contact with the teeth for approximately 1 to 4 minutes, allowing the fluoride to penetrate and strengthen the enamel.

- Excess Gel Removal: After the recommended time, the gel is removed by suction to minimize ingestion.
- Post-Application Instructions: The patient is advised not to eat, drink, or rinse for at least 30 minutes to allow the fluoride to fully absorb into the enamel.
